Blink-182 have ended Drake‘s run at the top of the US charts.
The punk trio scored their latest Number One on the Billboard 200, with their first album since 2011’s ‘Neighbourhoods’, ‘California’.
It sold 186,000 copies in its first week of release, knocking the Toronto rapper’s ‘Views’ from the top spot, where it spent nine weeks. It slipped down to Number Two, as Rolling Stone reports.
‘Views’ is now the hip-hop album to have spent the third longest, consecutive amount of time at Number One. Vanilla Ice‘s ‘To The Extreme’ spent 16 weeks at the top, beaten only by MC Hammer‘s ‘Please Hammer, Don’t Hurt ‘Em’, which charted top for 21 weeks.
The Number One is only Blink-182’s second. Their first came in 2001 with ‘Take Off Your Pants And Jacket’.
