Red Hot Chili Peppers have dismissed the idea of collaborating with Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl or Guns N’ Roses singer Axl Rose.

Speaking in a video interview backstage at Germany’s Rock AM Ring at the weekend, Anthony Kiedis was asked if he would consider working with Grohl in the future. He replied: “No, not gonna happen. I admire his work, I love his drumming a lot, [but] no collaboration.”

Later asked if the band were keen to collaborate with Rose, drummer Chad Smith responded: “No. I love Guns N’ Roses, but he seems a little difficult.”

‘The Getaway’, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ first record since 2011’s ‘I’m With You’, will be released later this month (June 17). It was produced by Danger Mouse and mixed by Radiohead‘s Nigel Godrich.
