Iggy Pop has been joined by Queens Of The Stone Age‘s Josh Homme and Arctic Monkeys‘ Matt Helders for an intimate KCRW radio session. Scroll down to watch their performance of ‘Sunday’.

‘Sunday’ is the centrepiece of the punk icon’s latest album ‘Post Pop Depression’, which was recorded in secret last year with Helders on drums and Homme playing various instruments and handling production.

Released last month (March), it became the highest-charting album of Pop’s career in the US after debuting at Number 17. Pop’s previous highest-charting record in the US was 1977’s ‘Idiot’, which reached Number 72.

Joined by Homme and Helders, Iggy Pop will be playing select live dates around the globe this year, with Homme on record as saying they will only perform in “small, beautiful theatres where their presence might still seem disruptive”.

The first UK venue to host the band will be London’s famous Royal Albert Hall on May 13. They are also confirmed for the following month’s Isle Of Wight Festival.

In February, Pop suggested that ‘Post Pop Depression’ could be his last ever album, saying: “I feel like I’m closing up after this. That’s what I feel. It’s my gut instinct.”
