FEEDBACK FRIDAY
November 20, 2009
Question/Comment:
Do you guys have the new Pearl Jam singles, Just Breathe and Got Some? I would love to hear them played.
Evan, Orchard Park
Response:
Evan, are you in Pearl Jam? I mean, I only ask because you seem to be able to identify what should be and are released as singles. That being said, it looks like 'Just Breathe' will be the new single and I'd be happy to get it on for you.
Question/Comment:
Can you please send me a link to Sunday's pregame (Bills) show? Thank you.
Crystal, Detroit, MI
Response:
I sure can, Crystal. It's www.wedg.com. That's because we are the home of the Buffalo Bills. The full broadcast schedule for game days can also be found there.
Question/Comment:
You guys should put up the feature that you used to have where you can look up the time of day to see what song was playing on The Edge. Thanks.
Scott, Lancaster
Response:
Scott, I kind of want to flick your ear right now. I'm not going to lie. Simply read through past Feedback Fridays and you'll see that this has been addressed often. That feature we 'used to have' is actually still there and frankly, it's better than ever. Check it out. And tell everyone so I can stop answering this question.
Do you want to be a part of Feedback Friday? Well that's just great. Here's all the contact info you need. You can also email me James@wedg.com, or text James to 68683. You could be one of the lucky folks to get real AND sarcastic answers at the SAME TIME! That's our promise to you. Thank you for listening!
FEEDBACK FRIDAY
October 9, 2009
Question/Comment:
Hi. I would like to know from what movie (I assume it is from a movie) the clip you guys play in between songs where the guy says "I'm great at what I do, Dad. I mean I'm really great at what I do."I love that line! Thanks!
Mike, West Seneca
Response:
I like that clip too, Mike. It's from a 2001 Johnny Depp movie called 'Blow.' It's a really cool movie. Credit for the clip, however, goes to Potter. He found the audio.
Question/Comment:
Hey guys, I love your station. In my opinion the best station on air right now. But seriously guys, you never play Megadeth, and its always Metallica. Would you please play some Megadeth from time to time? In fact you can have a time where you alternate between songs from the two bands. These are two great bands, but please try to play some, hell, ANY Megadeth
Kris, East Aurora
Response:
I have absolutely no issue with Megadeth. I know you, like some others, think it's a vast Metallica loving conspiracy. But here's the fact: We play what gets requested. It really is that simple. We keep track of every call, text, and email then rotate the songs in that kind of order. We just honestly don't get very many requests for Megadeth. When we do, you can imagine which song it is. We throw them in when we can, but the truth is we get OBLITERATED with Metallica requests. And that's how we get ratings: by making the most amount of people happy for the longest amount of time. That's the goal anyway. I bet this answer is way longer thna you wanted. You probably just wanted me to say 'yeah.' Thanks, Kris.
Question/Comment:
Mastadon is HOT!!!
Mary, Buffalo
Response:
Unless you mean literally, I'd say you're insane. But who am I to judge your taste? First of all, I like girls. Second of all, I think you're crazy. Just sayin'.
September 11, 2009
Question/Comment:
How would I get a list of songs played on the Shredd & Ragan Show in between bits? I heard a band that sounded alot like old Quicksand and was trying to figure out who it was. Thanks if you can help.
No name or city
Response:
For those, you have to get ahold of Jacka (jacka@wedg.com) and beg. I would advise that you ask early, because no record is kept for the parody songs that we play.
Question/Comment:
Will you please upload the songs that Creed did for Edge Sessions so that I can download them? They were so good and it'd be cool if you guys could give is the acoustic songs.
Chris, Franklinville
Response:
At this point, no can do, pal. However, I'm not ruling it out in the future to stream the Edge Sessions. I always think of this feedback page as an idea starter as well and I'm currently having one. I think we should make a site where you can listen to all the past Edge Sessions, watch videos, etc... Don't you think that's a good idea? You wouldn't be able to dowload them because I'm not helping you steal music, Chris. But streaming could be really cool. Ideas are fun!
Question/Comment:
I wish you guys would stop playing that new Linkin Park song... New Divide. It's one of the worst songs of all time by anyone... noring droning on... yuck.
DS, Cheektowaga
Response:
Then why were so many people requesting it? Why was it the most downloaded track on all of iTunes for 3 months straight? Why did the Transformers Soundtrack sell so many CD's? Why was there a hammer on the sickle of the Soviet Union's flag? What's 'noring?' See where I'm going, DS? Some things just are. The fact of the matter is that it became a huge song and a lot of people wanted to hear it. Otherwise we wouldn't have played it.
September 4, 2009
Question/Comment:
Your website's music list hasn't been working right for a couple days now. If I click on the hour I want to see a list of songs for, it will only show me the current hour's songs. Like 8/6/2009... I wanted to know what you played at about 8:15am. Something about "psycho". Come on, guys! We need to know stuff!
Bobby, Buffalo
Response:
Well, Bobby, I'm going to assume that you're new here because you clearly haven't noticed that we encourage a good amount of old-school manners when addressing Feedback Friday. So now that you're aware, I can help. The Edge Playlist feature of www.wedg.com should be all better now. But for the record, the song you were looking for was Puddle of Mudd's 'Psycho'. You're welcome and in the future, you know.
Question/Comment:
I listen a work on line 8am -3pm. Love your station, better than what we have around here. When you play Motley Crue, could you play a larger variety of songs than Dr. Feelgood? Otherwise, keep up the good work!
Geoff, Scranton PA
Response:
Wow, Geoff, you listen for a really long time. I don't mind telling you I love that. But I have to defend my station here. You contend that we only play Dr. Feelgood but I can ASSURE you that we also play Kickstart My Heart. That's double the amount of songs that you thought. haha. In truth, we only play what's requested. Those two songs are by far the top of the heap. But by all means, hit me up with some others and I'll be glad to sneak them in.
Question/Comment:
Why can't I print the coupon for the Dunn Tire deal?
Casey, Buffalo
Response:
Considering that all you have to do is click the link then print that page, my only guess as to why you can't print the coupon is because you don't have a printer. Or perhaps something is physically stopping you from hitting 'print.' Check and make sure that no one is holding your printer finger back, then try again. I hope that helps.
Question/Comment:
Hello thank you so much that you made your station Avaible for a listen even in Greece. I'm The biggest Creed fan in Greece and please if you can to ask Scott when exactly the new single "Overcome" coming out and if it's gonna be a Europian tour after the USA tour is over. And tell them all the world truly love them and their music is the alive fire of rock n roll. Thank you so much Edge radio. Greeting from Greece.
Dimitris, Thessaloniki Greece
Response:
Your English is far better than my Greek, I'll give you that. However, I can answer your question better than Scott can! The new Creed single will hit the air on The Edge on August 19th. See? We didn't even have to ask Scott. But I hope you're able to listen to Creed's Edge Sessions performance tomorrow (8/8/09) at 1pm hosted by Shredd & Ragan.
Do you want to be a part of Feedback Friday? Well that's just great. Here's all the contact info you need. You can also email me James@wedg.com, or text James to 68683. FEEDBACK FRIDAY
July 31, 2009
Question/Comment:
Playing back to back new and old AiC (Alice In Chains) was a brilliant move... loving the new song and this proves that it's very much in line with the classic stuff we all love so much. Great job!!
Amber, a WNY native living in Virginia.
Response:
I have to admit, I didn't think new AIC was going to be very good. The requests and feedback are obviously telling a different story. You can disagree but I really sense a substantial Tool influence on new AIC music. That's not as crazy as it may sound considering that Jerry Cantrell and Maynard Keenan are close friends and Keenan has even filled the 'Layne' role in past AIC reunions.
Question/Comment:
Can you please play more 311. Their new album, UPLIFTER, is out and rocks! I listen to the Edge and don't hear as much 311 as what should be played. They have been around for almost 20 years and have so many songs that are awesome. I go to several 311 concerts a year and the fans that you meet there are the best people in the world. They became my family.. nothing could ever compare to the experience of a 311 show. Thank you so much!
Liz, Depew
Response:311's pretty cool, Liz. No doubt about that. In fact, our own Ryan Crow and his lovely wife are huge fans of the band. You do sound a little cult-ish though and it worries me. Are you ok? Are 311 fans literally your family? Do you all get together at Christmas and argue by the end of the night? That'd be awesome to see. What did you buy for 311 fan Jake last year? Did he re-gift it to 311 fan Steve? Also, as fun as a 311 show is, I can think of several things that do compare to the experience and maybe even surpass it. It's all 'relative' though... pun intended.
Question/Comment:
You all have the most beautiful women I have ever seen. What a great swim suit calendar! Keep it up. You guys are great!!!!
Roger, Florida
Response:
I always tell friends who've never been to Western New York that we have the most underated women in the United States. It's true. Just look at our Buffalo Jills. They used to look rough back in the day, but now they're among the NFL's best. Check out the Rock Girls of Buffalo page of wedg.com too. They're awesome. They've been featured in national magazines. It's a golden age. Even our bar sluts are hotter these days. If have trouble identifying them, just go to any bar and play 'Pour Some Sugar On Me.' They will surely identify themselves.
Question/Comment:
Whatever happened to Adam 12?
Justin, West Seneca
Response:
Do you mean the TV show? I'm not sure. Poor ratings? I guess you're probably referring to the Adam 12 that used to call the Edge home. Well, he's dead... dead tired of northern winters, that is! I know that was douchey, but admit it... you laughed. Adam is in Raleigh and doing quite well. He still does radio and he says hi. I wonder if I should start a feature for wedg.com where we catch up with the Edge jocks of yesteryear. What do you think? I grew up here listening to The Edge too and I often get curious about what the former staffers are doing now. So maybe we should do a weekly profile. Like, where's Kit Missle now? Is she still hot? Whatever happened to Brad Maybe? I could totally hit him up! Who was that one guy that did overnights in the 90's? DJ Tyler or something like that? We could track him down too! This could be awesome! Send me (james@wedg.com) any other ideas you may have. But then again, I guess this was actually my idea. So don't. I'm kidding. Do it.
July 24, 2009
Question/Comment:
Over the 4th of July weekend, you guys did a lot of indie rock music. I thought that was great. Do you guys have a weekly segment featuring indie rock? If not, have you considered starting one?
Mark, No Location
Response:
Glad you like the 'Independent Rock' Weekend, Mark. We've gotten some great feedback about it. We do have weekly independent music features as well. There's Josh Potter's Next Wave every Sunday at 7pm and Steve K's Edge Underground Sunday nights/Monday mornings at midnight. Check those out and I hope you like them too!
Question/Comment:
Dude, just a reminder that women listen to The Edge too...non-slutty women (although I love to tramp it out once in a while lol) So just keep in mind. Thanks.
Jennifer, Buffalo
Response:
What are you saying? That we should oblige the tastes of occasional sluts more than we do? To be honest, I think The Edge is very 'occasional slut' friendly. We've worked really hard to become such. Or are you saying that we don't adhere to your also occasional non-sluttiness? If that's the case, then I ask you...how do we accomodate that kind of duplicity? I think you should just understand that we're the most lady-friendly rock station in America. Now get back in the kitchen!
Question/Comment:
I am currently in Iraq, and was wondering if you could play Five Finger Death Punch's new song called 'Hard to See.' I can not find it anywhere!!! If you guys play it I can find it on your website, please get it out there they are my favorite band and need to hear their new music!! Thank you very much!
Michael, West Seneca
Response:
No problem. STAY SAFE! And thank you from all of us.
Question/Comment:
I am new in town and heard about your Shredd & Ragan Cruise Night. On the website it dosent say where Dunn Tire Raceway Park is, directions or a simple map like every other site. The hours. Does it start ant noon, 4, 6, 8pm? I think a little more info is in order. Also how late does it go? 9pm, midnight? Like I said a little more info should be given.
Anthony, Buffalo
Response:
Yes it does. And you're being kind of a d-bag. So read the site before you give attitude. Is it just me or is there going to be one of these guys every week?
Question/Comment:
I was trying to find a song name that Shredd and Ragan played in the background during hour 3 part 2 of their Friday show. Sounded like a mix of Metallica and Deftones....Help that song was awesome!
Henry, Williamsville
Response:
Not that your description isn't a good one. It definitely is. But to make your life easier now and for the future, check out our What You Heard feature at www.wedg.com. It has everything you're looking for, it even counts Shredd & Ragan's 'bumper' music. Hope that helps, Henry.
Question/Comment:
I cannot figure out the name of a Tool song. Part of the lyrics are "who are you to point your finger..." Can you tell me the name of it?
Shawn, Alden
Response:
Sure can, Shawn. The Tool song in question is called 'The Pot.' Also, read the previous question and response. You may find it helpful as well.
Question/Comment:
The Fixer is the single greatest song played on your station in the past year. More Pearl Jam = better radio station. Keep up the the good job.
James, Amherst
Response:
Very interesting, James. I would love to know how your statement holds up in the court of Edge fan opinion. Have at it, folks! I wonder if I should start posting email addresses too. That could be fun! Nah, that'd get brutal. Unless someone acts like a HUGE d-bag, I won't. Haha.
July 17, 2009
Question/Comment:
The Edge Underground is an awesome program. I rarely ever get to hear music that pumps me up on the radio. I don't get the best reception up here, but enough that I can appreciate the programming. Keep it up!
B-Rae, Toronto
Response:
That is very cool. Steve K does an awesome job with Edge Underground and we're glad you like it.
Question/Comment:
Where can we find some of the short song clips you play at the start of the Shredd & Ragan show, like:
- Lowlife
- You Shouldn't Have Pissed Me Off
- Red Bull and Vodka
- Get a New Daddy
Ward, No location
Response:
Check the podcast section of www.wedg.com and www.shreddandragan.com. Sometimes they put them up there. If not, feel free to harass Jacka. Reach him at jacka@wedg.com. He is the wizard of the LDD and knows all there is to know in the realm of parody songs. Although, with the songs you've listed, I'm wondering if there is a theme to your comedy song desires. Autobiographical, perhaps?
Question/Comment:
When is Edgefest?
JP, Derby; Stacey, Kenmore; Kevin, OP; Patty, Irving; Harland, Westfield; Mark, Lackawanna; Chris, The Falls; and a million others (ok we get it)
Response:
At this point, we have no plans to do a traditional Edgefest this year. However, you may be interested in the next evolution and incarnation of Edgefest. That's teasy, isn't it? Well, that's what I do. Also, don't forget that the Mid-Summer's Edge is at the Hamurg Fairgrounds on July 30th with Killswitch Engage, Rancid, Rise Against, and Billy Talent. That's kind of Edgefest-ish, right?
Question/Comment:
You should put playlists of all the songs you play throughout the day onto your site so listeners can find the artists and their songs easier.
Adam, Alden
Response:
You're awfully demanding, Adam in Alden. Maybe a 'please' or 'if you wouldn't mind' next time would get you some answers in a more timely manner. With that said, well...written, we've met your demands and then some! At the top of our main page, you can get the entire Edge playlist. There is also our pretty awesome What You Heard section. It gives you song info, lets you watch videos, read lyrics, buy songs and other cool stuff. What I'm trying to say here, Adam, is that we're awesome. Now go learn how to say please and thank you. Use the time that you save by trying to look up songs.
Question/Comment:
Bull is so hot!
Sophie, No location
Response:
No. Bull is not.
Question/Comment:
Hey guys, I was wondering if you can help me out. I heard this song on your station on 6/30 at approx. 3:25 am. I just remembered today that I had written it down otherwise I would have checked your playlist sooner. I don't know if you keep a playlist record that far but if you can give me the songs/artists that played around that time I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks and ROCK ON!
Brandon, No location
Response:
3:19am - Trapt, 'Contagious'
3:24am - Marcy Playground, 'Sex and Candy'
3:27am - Puddle of Mudd, 'She Hates Me'
I hope that helps, Brandon. I found the songs easily by using the Edge's playlist feature on the main page of www.wedg.com. Did I mention how awesome it is? You should tell Adam in Alden about it.
Question/Comment:
You guys are a**holes!
Mike, No location
Response:
No we're not. Take THAT!
NO COMMENTARY NEEDED
April 2, 2009
Below is the text version of Kurt Cobain's suicide note:
"To Boddah
Speaking from the tongue of an experienced simpleton who obviously would rather be an emasculated, infantile complain-ee. This note should be pretty easy to understand.
All the warnings from the punk rock 101 courses over the years, since my first introduction to the, shall we say, ethics involved with independence and the embracement of your community has proven to be very true. I haven't felt the excitement of listening to as well as creating music along with reading and writing for too many years now. I feel guilty beyond words about these things.
For example when we're back stage and the lights go out and the manic roar of the crowds begins., it doesn't affect me the way in which it did for Freddie Mercury, who seemed to love, relish in the the love and adoration from the crowd which is something I totally admire and envy. The fact is, I can't fool you, any one of you. It simply isn't fair to you or me. The worst crime I can think of would be to rip people off by faking it and pretending as if I'm having 100% fun. Sometimes I feel as if I should have a punch-in time clock before I walk out on stage. I've tried everything within my power to appreciate it (and I do,God, believe me I do, but it's not enough). I appreciate the fact that I and we have affected and entertained a lot of people. It must be one of those narcissists who only appreciate things when they're gone. I'm too sensitive. I need to be slightly numb in order to regain the enthusiasms I once had as a child.
On our last 3 tours, I've had a much better appreciation for all the people I've known personally, and as fans of our music, but I still can't get over the frustration, the guilt and empathy I have for everyone. There's good in all of us and I think I simply love people too much, so much that it makes me feel too fucking sad. The sad little, sensitive, unappreciative, Pisces, Jesus man. Why don't you just enjoy it? I don't know!
I have a goddess of a wife who sweats ambition and empathy and a daughter who reminds me too much of what i used to be, full of love and joy, kissing every person she meets because everyone is good and will do her no harm. And that terrifies me to the point to where I can barely function. I can't stand the thought of Frances becoming the miserable, self-destructive, death rocker that I've become.
I have it good, very good, and I'm grateful, but since the age of seven, I've become hateful towards all humans in general. Only because it seems so easy for people to get along that have empathy. Only because I love and feel sorry for people too much I guess.
Thank you all from the pit of my burning, nauseous stomach for your letters and concern during the past years. I'm too much of an erratic, moody baby! I don't have the passion anymore, and so remember, it's better to burn out than to fade away.
Peace, love, empathy.
Kurt Cobain
Frances and Courtney, I'll be at your alter.
Please keep going Courtney, for Frances.
For her life, which will be so much happier without me.
I LOVE YOU, I LOVE YOU!"
HERE'S ONE GUY WHO'S NOT HAPPY
March 9, 2009
This video is starting to make the rounds, and since I like to make this site 'one stop shopping' for hot videos, here you go. Obviously, the Buffalo Bills recent acquisition of WR Terrell Owens is a big deal. Every national and individual city publication is talking about it. There are literally thousands of new opinions on the latest Bills signing every hour. You have your opinion and I urge you to take it to Your Turn 24/7. Just call (716) 961-6103 and state your opinion. Then listen to 103.3 The Edge for us to play the calls and check the Your Turn 24/7 page at wedg.com. Till then, here's one guy who's definitely not happy about T.O in B-Lo (I SAID IT FIRST!).
You might be wondering what this man's opinion means to you. Well, I can tell you that it means if you are against the Bills' sigining or T.O., you're a nazi. At least that's how I see it. Or maybe if you don't like the signing of T.O., then you agree with Hitler. Is that true? Do you agree with Hitler?!?! If that's the case, then you are a horrible person. I can't, for the life of me, understand your logic in agreeing with Hitler. This is once last chance for you to change your way of thinking. So I urge you, change your ways. Stop being like Hitler.
NEW GREEN DAY ALBUM COVER
February 11, 2009
Here is the cover for Green Day's almost long-awaited album 21st Century Breakdown.
They made an official announcement at the Grammy Awards and now you can pre-order the album. The, and I stress the word TENTATIVE release date is in May of this year. Their latest offering is said to feature 16 songs spread across three Acts: Heroes and Cons, Charlatans and Saints and Horseshoes and Handgrenades. Among the reported song titles include the title track, “Viva La Gloria,” “Know Your Enemy” and “March of the Dogs.” 21st Century Breakdown will be Green Day's first studio album since 2004's American Idiot.
I WAS TALKING ABOUT THIS
January 15, 2009
There was a benefit for something that you and I don't and will probably never care about. However, Will Ferrell and Dave Grohl of The Foo Fighters performed what I believe to be a duet that is so tremendous that it may rival some of the greatest duets of all time. Stevie Wonder and Paul McCartney can kiss their collective ass. Do you think this should qualify as a cover song? I think so, therefore I'm going to tell Bull about it so he can add it in to Morning Bull's Cover Up feature. If you didn't know, every weekday morning at 8am, Morning Bull does a different music feature. They're always pretty awesome.
OH NO! SERIOUSLY! OH NO!
December 11, 2008
Here's part of why this is so troubling: Have you ever broken your leg? I have. Badly. So badly that I was in the hospital for 6 weeks with pins and traction. Then I wore a cast for a year and therapy and all of that. Oh, by the way, I was three. So I'm a bit sensitive when it comes to broken legs. Want to know where I'm going with this? Fine, but YOU ARE OFFICIALLY WARNED! I mean, I posted the video of the football player crashing into the cart, but this is 25 times worse than that.
UFC fighter Corey Hill pretty much ends his career versus Dale Hartt. Seriously...this is brutal. So if you are normal, you shouldn't watch it. But who am I to deny all the wonderful freaks that read this page? Exactly.
GET THIS BOOK, BRO
November 12, 2008
I hope you've learned by now, that I'm not one to just randomly plug anything. But yesterday I was wandering through a local bookstore. I typically try to pick up a new history book, biography or something that feeds into my vast conspiracy theories. This time, however, I came accross one of the funniest books I've read in quite a while. It's called Brocabulary: The New Man-I-Festo of Dude Talk. It's written/compiled by Daniel Maurer.
In the book, you can learn about such things as 'MANecdotes,' 'PALibis,' and or what it means to 'GUYjack' a girl from one of your friends. I'm not trying to start a book club here, but if you get this book, call/email/text me and we'll definitely talk about it.
I WANT THE CHANGE I WAS PROMISED
November 5, 2008
Did I miss something here? I voted yesterday. I assume you did as well. But this entire campaign has been about promises of change from both candidates. I made my decisions and voted based on the promise that I would get change. Now it's seeming to me that both candidates were talking out of both sides of their mouths. Like in 1988 when George H.W. Bush said "Read my lips: NO NEW TAXES!" Then he proceeded to tax the beJesus out of everybody. Clearly he was lying.
Is this same false promise afoot in 2008? Whether you voted for him or not, we should all be able to get the change that was promised to all of us by Barack Obama. I, for one, will not rest until all of the change I had been promised is delivered to my house. I prefer quarters, but those new dollar coins look pretty slick too. So I'll take some of those. I'm not a fan of dimes because they're too easy to lose. Nickels are ok if that's all the change you can offer, but it's not my first preference. Pennies? Don't even discuss pennies with me. Pennies are not change!
The bottom line is that I want change! And I want it now!

AWFUL. JUST AWFUL
October 29, 2008
Consider yourself warned. While the video takes a second to set up, you will get to see the important part. And it's just disgusting. This happened in the Houston/Marshall football game last night. What you'll see is Houston's Patrick Edwards giving it all trying to snag an overthrown ball. You'll then see him crash into a cart behind the end zone. The carts were there for the band geek stuff apparently. Is this karma? Is Patrick mean to the band kids? That sure would be odd. Keep watching because they show several replays. Several. Personally, I couldn't watch it. But I know some of you sick bastards will be all over this.
Who do you blame here? The band? No one cares about them and they leave their things lying around. That's rude. The stadium employees? Who thought it would be a good idea to leave giant metal carts right behind the spot guys are running jumping and diving? I personally blame Blake Joseph. Blake Joseph? Yes, Blake Joseph. He's the Houston QB whose name you would NEVER hear if this hadn't happened. Maybe it's just me, but it looked like that ball was being thrown to someone in the 15th row. Maybe his grirlfriend. Who knows? I just know that Blake will never be this guy.
HEY REMEMBER...

Today, wait, tonight? Today? Tonight? Well, whichever it is, today is The Edge's first Hump Day Happy Hour. I along with the Edge crew will be at Recckios by 6:30. I hope you get a chance to stop out. Girls will be dressing slutty. What else do I need to say? Don't forget to register for the excellent VIP packages involved. Yes, I wrote packages. Grow up. See you there!
A PRETTY SMART THING FOR A BAND TO DO THESE DAYS
October 27, 2008
I hope by now you've heard of Framing Hanley. If not, they're just an awesome band. Over a year ago, someone sent me their single "Hear Me Now" which is a great song and it did really well. In fact, I believe we were the first radio station outside of their hometown to start playing them seriously. Well now they've gone and done something awesome. They did a cover of Lil Wayne's "Lollipop." It's ok if you don't know that version. Hell. I admit didn't either. It's not like I need to make time to keep up on my current hip hop. But Framing Hanley's version is just great and hilarious on its own. The video is even more fun. Check it out and then you can vote for them on the Interactive 8 at 8 on Rock Radio 103.3 The Edge.
And fyi...look for a pretty sweet concert announcent coming soon from The Edge. That's a pretty good hint, I think.
THIS MAKES ME HAPPY
October 24, 2008
Check this out...it's from the Bruins/Leafs game last night. I can't figure out exactly what is making me smile here. I mean, there's a Toronto player getting pummeled through glass. There's a Bruin player with guilt. Those are always good things. However, there is potential that a Bruin fan could've gotten hurt. No one wants to see a fan get hurt ever. But have you ever been to a sporting event in Boston? I mean...I'm just saying.
CHINESE DEMOCRACY
October 22, 2008
Axl Rose started working on this album when dinosaurs roamed the earth with Sarah Palin. We've been teased over and over and over again, but alas it is finally here. Well, at least the first legitimate single is here. You know, the one you can listen to without fear of special agents crashing into your house and locking you up for the rest of your natural life.
The title track, Chinese Democracy, debuted this morning with Morning Bull and we'll be playing throughout the day and getting your thoughts as well. Also listen for Shredd & Ragan to do a special edition of 'New Music Tuesday' even though it is Wednesday.
Here is the promo video for the single and the album, but listen to Rock Radio 103.3 The Edge to hear the entire song.
LOTS OF ME LATELY
October 21, 2008
I sure am all over the place these days. But we always have a good time, don't we? This weekend The Edge has another Away Game Party at Rhinos Rock Bar in OP. It's Miami week, so I suspect we'll have the best party we've had to date. So get there early so you can get a good seat and watch me make stupid bets with awesome folks.
In addition to that, look under my picture and you'll see that we are going to be out at Recckio's every Wednesday for The Edge's Hump Day Happy Hour. It's gonna be a pretty great time. The way I see it, drinks and girls who dress slutty are a great way to get through "Hump Day." You agree, don't you? See you around!
SCREW OBAMA AND MCCAIN...VOTE TRENT!
October 21, 2008
I just learned that Buffalo Bills QB Trent Edwards is nominated for the "Something or Other that Definitely Doesn't Pay Me to Use Their Name" Air Player of the Week after his performance this past Sunday against the San Diego Chargers. He's up against Matt Schaub of the Texans and Jeff Garcia of the Bucs. Now keep in mind if Garcia wins it, it's gonna be a pretty funny Shredd & Ragan bit, but I think Trent ought to get it. This is where you come in. Vote for him now. Vote for him often. It'd be pretty sweet if he won it, don't you think?
A BILLS FAN, HUH?
October 21, 2008
Ok, I know I'm in similar circumstances. You and I both obsess over the Buffalo Bills especially this season. However, we work, don't we? Well I'm not one to just say 'hey go here' but if you don't have a ton of time, you need to read Chris Brown's Blog over here. The guy does it all and knows everything going on and he's constantly updating. So if you want to stay up on everything Bills, definitely check out Chris' stuff. He even tells you where the new stuff on the Bills site is. That's pretty nice of him.
NEW-ISH PUMPKINS!
October 20, 2008
So this is pretty sweet. The Smashing Pumpkins have released a new song called G.L.O.W. specifically for the new Guitar Hero: World Tour. Well, I've gone ahead and done the dirty google work. Here's the first performance of the song when the Pumpkins were in Iowa.
HAVE YOU SEEN THIS YET?
October 20, 2008
I know this is a little old now, but I'm learning my own web page so back off! I was watching 'Cheaters' one night, and I realized that while I enjoyed two ugly whatevers beating the ever loving hell out of eachother, that they were actually at a Trapt show in Texas. After the fight, the band broke out their latest single "Who's Going Home With You Tonight?" Isn't that so very clever of them? Trapt sure sounds good while girls fight though. Any volunteers for the next time they come to Buffalo?
